#gaysex is a community based chat channel that uses IRC Protocol to allow people of like minded interests to meet and chat. Your choice of device is not limited as IRC clients are available on all.

An example of a PC IRC Client would be mIRC or IceChat. These both run on Windows but IRC is quite an old protocol so you will find whatever the platform you are running there is a client for it.

The channel is manned by Ops (Moderators). Regular Ops that are usually around are eddie, cej, ManInBlack. These guys/girls make sure that the channel keeps within reasonable social boundaries. If users are being nasty or abusive, an Op may ban if it gets out of hand. Poking fun and stirring is a regular occurance as is just general chatter involving many topics often with adult content. 

You may also want to signup here and upload an image or two to the gallery, make sure you do it under your nick and you put in a brief biograph on yourself. This will be good when someone asks for your picture - they will be able to find it on the site.

How to Log On
Follow these instructions to log into #sex chat channel on austnet. You will need to have identified as well as have a registered nick. You will need an IRC Client like mIRC or IceChat and you need to use the server irc.austnet.org on port 6667.

Step 1: (Changing your nick)

You may have not logged into the website, if this is the case you will have to change your nick once you have logged in to do this in the command box at the bottom type /nick yournewnickname and press enter.

Step 2: (Registering your Nickname)

You will only have to do this once per nickname, if you can't register your nick in this case you will have to change your nick as per strep 1 - once you have logged in to do this in the command box at the bottom type /nickop register youremail@address.com yourpassword and press enter; make sure you answer the captcha and your nick should be confirmed as registered. If you would like to display the system help for this command type '/nickop help register' and press enter.

Step 3: (Identifying your Nickname)

You will only have to do this everytime you log onto the service to access #gaysex, as it is part of our rules to have a registered identified nickname, this is for the protection of our clients and to exit us from spam - once you have logged in to do this in the command box at the bottom type /identify yourpassword and press enter (without the '). If you would like to display the system help for this command type '/nickop help identify' and press enter.

Step 4: (Joining the channel)

Once you have completed steps 1 - 3 you can now join the channel with the command /join #sex this will log you into the chat channel so you can participate.
